Duration of the Havan
- Maha Rudra Homam typically takes around 4–5 hours
- Extended recitations or larger yagnas (e.g., Ekadasha Rudra, Maha Rudra) can last for multiple days
General Havan Samagri (Materials Required)
- Desi ghee, sacred wood (Smida)
- Panchamrit: milk, curd, honey, mishri (rock sugar), fruit juice
- Coconut, honey, sugarcane juice, various fruit juices
- Sandalwood oil, camphor, flowers, betel nut, betel leaves
- Ayurvedic herbal mixtures
- Complete Hindu puja thali and other standard puja materials
