Purpose of Durga Havan?
Durga Havan is a powerful spiritual ritual performed to worship Goddess Durga, seek removal of obstacles, attain victory, strength, prosperity, and inner peace.
It is especially performed during Navratri, often accompanied by Chandi Path (Durga Saptashati), to eliminate negative forces and invite positive energy into life.

Duration of the Havan
The ritual takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and includes:
- Sankalp (intention)
- Ganapati Dhyana (meditation)
- Avahan (invocation)
- Worship using 108 names of Mahaganapati
- Havan, Aarti, and distribution of Prasad
General Havan Samagri (Materials Used)
- Mango/Palash wood (Samidha)
- Pure desi cow ghee
- Barley, sesame seeds, rice
- Panchmeva (dry fruits mix)
- Honey, mishri (rock sugar), gulkand
- Clove, cardamom, camphor, fragrant flowers
- Ganga water, roli (vermilion), akshat (rice grains), kalava (sacred thread), turmeric
- Coconut, betel leaves, betel nuts
- Special items like Gandhak (sulphur), boora (sugar powder), Mekhala etc. (as advised by the priest)
All havans are performed at Satkarmic Mission Ashram, Shukartal (UP).
